Dear visitors!

In the 1970s, I started a collection of airplane models of various scales, because of my longstanding passion for flying. Over time, more and more object areas were opened up - small gifts of airlines, books and posters, dinnerware and uniforms, as well as aircraft parts like neon signs and an original gangway!

Today, the collection is a cross-section of objects from the entire civil aviation, which is probably unique in Germany. My collection "Sammlung Funkenflug" can be visited in a permanent exhibition, which is still in temporary rooms and it is shown in special and individual exhibitions, which are dedicated to specific themes or objects. Parts of the collection are given to interested partners and institutions at home and abroad as loans for exhibitions.
